Medals & Points Scoring System

  1. The ‘Sports’ shall constitute Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Carrom, Chess, Cricket, Football, Kabaddi, Lawn Tennis, Sepak Takraw, Skating, Swimming, Table Tennis, Throwball and Volleyball.
  2. The ‘Events’ shall constitute the following:

3. The scoring system shall be based on the Points Method. The valuation of the medals shall be – Gold (5), Silver (3) and Bronze (1).

4. As per the Points Method, the team bagging the most number of points at the end of Justice League 2018 on the basis of the medals tally shall be adjudicated the overall champions.

5. In case of a tie in the total points, the number of gold medals won shall be used to determine the position of the teams. Provided further that, in a scenario where the number of gold medals are equal, the number of silver medals won shall be used to determine the position of the teams. Provided further that, in a scenario where the number of gold and silver medals are equal, the number of bronze medals won shall be used to determine the position of the teams.

6. In certain scenarios, where the team Events do not have a Bronze Medal Match, both the losing semi-finalists shall be deemed as bronze medal winners and the points for a bronze medal shall be allocated to both the semi-finalists in that case. However, they shall not be presented with the bronze medal physically.

7. In the event of a tie in the number of points scored and medals won, i.e., the number of gold, silver and bronze medals won by two or more teams are equal, the decision with respect to their ranking shall be decided by a coin toss and the same shall be supervised by the GNLU Sports Committee.

8. In case of any dispute, the GNLU Sports Committee reserves all rights to take a reasonable and fair decision as per its sole discretion.
